Abstract: In general, the paper aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an entrepreneurship education programme via a field experiment. In particular, the objectives of the paper are fourfold: (1) to examine whether students in treatment schools perform better in a knowledge test and have more positive attitudes towards entrepreneurship after the programme, (2) to investigate whether cooperative learning enhances the programme effectiveness (if any) as compared to individual learning, (3) to estimate to what extent peer differences (concerning personality traits, socioeconomic background, gender, and more) influence the quality of cooperative learning, and (4) to determine the underlying mechanisms of cooperative learning using motivational and cognitive explanations.
