Short professional bio

Péter Csóka graduated in economics in 2003 from the legal predecessor of the Corvinus University of Budapest. He received his Ph.D. in 2008 from Maastricht University. He has been a lecturer and researcher at the Corvinus University of Budapest since 2008, as a university professor since 2019. Since 2011, he has been a researcher at the Game Theory Research Group of the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies. In her research, he uses economic theory to examine investment, risk management, corporate finance issues, liquidity problems, and financial networks. He has papers published in Management Science, the European Journal of Operational Research, Games and Economic Behavior, and the Journal of Banking and Finance, among others. Since 2012, he has been one of the main organizers of the Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference held in Budapest every year. Since 2018, he has been the chairman of the Economics Subcommittee of the Economics Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2019, he became a member of the board of the Hungarian Association of Economics. In 2019, he won the János Bolyai research scholarship.
