Júlia Varga is research advisor of the Institute of Economics of Economics of the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies. She graduated at the Budapest University of Economics and has received her CsC degree in Economics in 1996 and her DsC degree in 2019. Her research field covers economics of education and labour economics. She worked on research projects concerning labour market outcome of education, demand for higher education, financing education. teachers’ labour market doctors’ migration. Recent research has focused on gender differences in higher education choices and occupation mobility. She used to teach Economics of Education at the Corvinus University Budapest and at the Department of Economics at Eötvös Loránd University. She is the president of the Scientific Committee on Labour Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
