Ákos Valentinyi is head of research of the National Bank of Hungary and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. He is a Research Affiliate in International Macroeconomics research programme of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR, London). Previously he as been Professor of Economics at the University of Southampton (United Kingdom) He has written equilibrium selection in evolutionary game theoretical and dynamic macroeconomic models, and international productivity differences. He has participated in various international research projects sponsored by the Commission of the European Union.
