Short professional bio

Ildikó Schlotter graduated as an engineer in computer science from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2005. She did her PhD at the same institute with Dr. Dániel Marx, in the area of parameterized algorithms with a focus on graph algorithms and stable matchings; she received her PhD degree in computer science in 2010. She started working at the Department of Computer Science and Information Theory at BUTE in 2008; she obtained a position as associate professor in 2011. She has taught several courses connected to computer science, algorithms and complexity theory, and formal languages mostly to computer science and electrical engineering students. For a period in 2010 and 2011 she also worked part-time at the Eötvös University.

Her research interests include parameterized complexity and algorithms, algorithmic graph theory, computational social choice, and the area of stable matchings. While mostly on maternity leave from 2011, she has continued to engage in research. In 2020 she has joined the research group of the Institute of Economics at the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies.
