The group’s research basically addresses evolutions in the Hungarian educational system (public education, higher education, educational finance) and labor markets (employment, wages, unemployment) but it extends to issues in health economics, informal economy, pension systems and regional inequalities. Several group members are involved in the evaluation of Hungarian educational and employment policies, and make expert work for both Hungarian and international organizations. The team publishes its own working paper seriesand a year-book (The Hungarian Labor Market, first published in 2000). The team had major contribution to the development of the data bank of the Institute comprising of harmonized waves of regular surveys.
