Judit Kreko joined the Centre of Economic and Regional Studies in October 2017, as a participant of the OTKA research project entitled „ Economic growth, productivity and structural change in the European Union and Hungary”. She has also been a senior researcher at the Budapest Institute since September 2019. She earned a PhD in Economics at the Central European University (CEU) in May 2020. The title of her thesis is: “Essays in Empirical Analysis of Economic Policy”. Before starting the doctoral program, she worked at the Economics Department of the National Bank of Hungary as an economist and a senior economist. Her research insterests include labor (especially labor market integration of disabled population), macroeconomics and monetary economics, economics and economic and social policy, econometric analysis.
