Balázs Muraközy is the director of the Firms, Strategy and Performance Research Group at the Research Center for Economic and Regional Studies, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Balázs received his PhD from the Central European University in 2008. His research interest is centered on applied IO, international trade as well as regulation and competition policy. His work was published among others by the Journal of International Economics and the Canadian Economic Review. He also spent time a visitingh researcher at UC Davis, IFW Kiel and the University of Nottingham. He has won the large “Lendület” grant from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2013. Balázs is recently teaching an Econometrics course in Rajk László College for Advanced Studies, but previously he also taugh at ELTE, CEU and MNB.
