Csaba G. Tóth obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics in 2001 at the Budapest Business School, then he graduated as a sociologist at the ELTE in 2006. He studied political science for one year at Pune University (India) during his student years. He earned a PhD in Economics at the University of Debrecen. Since 2007 he has been conducting research on fiscal policy. He worked as an analyst and then as head of department at the ECOSTAT Institute for Research of Economy and Society, then as a senior economist at the Central Bank of Hungary. From 2019 to 2021, he was a research fellow at the Hungarian Demographic Research Institute. He taught for years Macro Statistics at the ELTECON and Macro-Finance in the Department of Finance at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
